I attended Cj's street photography for beginners course on 26 July.

Meeting at the Photographer's Gallery was good for the restricted group size, ensuring it was personable and also enabling group interaction. The introduction to the course was informative, covering many of the basics of camera control and explaining the scope of the course, providing an easy introduction to the genre of street photography. Cj took the time to understand everyone's needs and objectives before heading onto the street and reinforcing the basic lessons in a quiet area.

Once the basics had been covered we then ventured through Carnaby Street and into China Town. We enjoyed regular breaks to recap and set new challenges. Cj at all times was calm, understanding and massively informative, bringing many practical lessons into the areas we visited.

Despite the range of competencies and variety of cameras/phones being used, everyone was given personal time as well as wider group discussion. A great teacher with a wealth of experience. Highly recommended!!

Excellent beginner street photography session. CJ is a natural communicator and skilled at using his experience to break down complex theory and jargon and make sense of it. Really focusses on what you want to get out of each session and improve. Thanks so much! 10/10 would recommend

I went to a street photography workshop by CJ last weekend. The teacher broke things down in a way that was understandable and gave us plenty of time to try out different photos and locations. CJ was helpful in giving practical advice as we went along.

Great event! My first sports action photography session. CJ is a great help with ideas and technical support, if needed. I would love the opportunity to return in the future. Fantastic 10/10.

CJ, I mean... what a pro!

Having never been involved in a photo shoot before I had no idea what to expect and no clue what to do.. CJ was brilliant, we had a consultation online a week or so before the shoot where he explained the process and took me through the process step by step.

On the day everything was great, I felt in safe hands and I'm absolutely delighted with the results.

I couldn't recommend CJ enough.. you'd be a fool to use anyone else!!

Had an amazing Workshop run by Cj. From the studio, to the model (Emily Moon), to the lighting choices, this worked altogether perfectly and managed to get great images. Highly recommend.

I had a fantastic time at the Beginner Street Photography workshop with CJ Swaby in London!

We explored iconic spots like Oxford Circus, Carnaby Street, Soho, Chinatown, and Trafalgar Square, learning practical tips and techniques along the way. CJ also covered the legal and ethical side of street photography, which was really valuable.

My camera's memory card was full before we started, so I used my phone the whole day, and still saw my photos improve as the day went on. A brilliant experience that boosted both my confidence and creativity. Highly recommended!

A really good 4 hour workshop, in a well lit studio: both flash and large windows in a convenient location . Well led and with detailed explanations and help offered at all times. Great hard working model. Highly recommended, I will attend again in the future.

I attended the Flash Photography Workshop and loved it! Cj is very approachable and knowledgeable. The structure of the workshop was well executed. He covered the theory side which he explained throughly at the start, answering any questions we had. He then guided us through the practical side where he made sure all of us were getting the shots required to practise the topic we were learning.

I really valued Cj's teaching style and temperament and am grateful for the community aspect of attending a workshop with other photographers wanting to learn. I will definitely be attending another of Cj's workshops in the future. Thanks Cj!
